It’s been a remarkable year for A Sustainable Closet! This year our readers and site visitors has grown with 79%! Totally we have 3000 monthly readers, 300 monthly newsletter subscribers and 1441 followers on Instagram. Half of our readers are based in Sweden, other tops countries are United States, United Kingdom, Germany followed by the other Scandinavian countries. More people also find our site when searching online, our exposure grew with 340% this year. We hope that this means that more people who wants to change their lifestyle and their closets can find us and get support!

We have met with 43 change makers, amazing people that in so many ways are inspiring us to circulate, take care of and create our own closet. To only mention a few would be unfair to the rest. What we can proudly say is that the movement is global and it’s happening by all genders at all ages even though we are mostly contacted by young white women. We really want to make sure our feed is diverse, so please send us your recommendations and favorites if you have any!
We have interviewed 35 sustainable fashion brands founded by people that sought no better way than to create their own brand to empower people and make it easier for consumers. About 25 vintage and second hand stores has told us their story and we can for certain say now that circularity is accessible to almost all.

We have updated our brand list so you can easily find a better alternative to fast fashion and several cities guides are updated with our new favorite store city guide; Copenhagen!

All of our growth has been organic. We haven’t paid for marketing, it is all word by mouth and every time you share, like and support our work. Therefore, we would from the bottom of our hearts like to thank you!

Thank you for being a part of this empowering movement. Thank you for taking your time to read the stories we are sharing. Thank you for caring about a more sustainable fashion scene!

Next year we have some in-depth interviews and material coming out on YouTube. We will also launch our first own fashion photosession and we hope you’re going to love it! We still seek amazing interns and partners to be a part of our journey so please reach out if you want to be a part of what we do!

We wish you the most wonderful end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. Remember, you are wonderful and amazing just the way you are.

Yours Kindly,

Founders and CEO Sophie Gripenberg
