ELV DENIM - with the vision to make denim more sustainable

The Contrast Denim Shirt, Regular price£150.00 GBP

Anna Foster started her luxury zero-waste brand in 2018. She has her studio in Dalston, eastern London where she collects post-consumer materials that had otherwise ended up in landfills and turns them into beautiful items. ELV DENIM (East London Vintage Denim) mostly works with denim since it is one of the most resource intense materials but also created jumpsuits, miniskirts, blazers and shirts. The brand does not only create beautiful items for your wardrobe they also collaborate with scientists and other stakeholders to find better infrastructures and ways for textile sorting.

It is today one of the biggest challenges with post-consumer waste, deadstock and surplus fabric that the infrastructure is not fully developed in order for brands to truly embrace textiles that have already been produced.

We are highly impressed by the local design and wonderful initiative to use what has already been produced. The brand is also launching it’s costumer made-on-order service which will reduce waste further. The price represents its luxury and we are longing for that day when fashion like this becomes more available to all.
