Climate Action Week For Fashion & Apparel

The Paris Agreement seeks to limit temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, as advised by the IPCC, necessitating achieving net-zero emissions by the latter half of this century. The fashion and apparel industries presently contribute 2-8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, facing challenges in aligning with the 1.5°C pathway given current growth projections. Progress remains slow, yet imperative. Throughout Climate Action Week for Fashion & Apparel, diverse perspectives will be explored, featuring insights from global experts, government officials, brands, researchers, and more. The sessions aim to assess ongoing efforts, areas for improvement, and additional actions needed.

Climate Action Week is designed for current and aspiring change agents and experts. Register for individual webinars, submit questions for the guests, and access recorded sessions afterwards. Hosted by STICA, these free online seminars aim to facilitate dialogue and drive impactful change.
