Munich

What inspires you in Munich?

In Munich, I am mostly inspired by the beauty, tidiness, and organization of the city. The architectures here is incredible and makes you feel like you're in Ancient Greece. Also, in Munich you are very close to some of the most breathtaking nature you can imagine. There are beautiful lakes surrounded by mountains, for example. It's a very beautiful city altogether.

When in Munich, don't miss out on?

When in Munich you should not miss out on cafés and some shopping opportunities. Munich has some very beautiful and cozy coffee shops. There's e.g., the down-to-earth bakery "Julius Brantner"with a selection of homemade organic breads, croissants, and pastries. There are 3 areas where you can find the best of both worlds: food/drinks and shopping opportunities.

Gärtnerplatz, Maxvorstadt and Au-Haidhausen are the places to be in Munich.

Exit Store Munich:

Address: Pestalozzistraße 28, 80469 Munich

A beautiful designer first and Second-Hand store in one of the coolest areas in Munich. More on the pricier side but absolutely worth checking out – especially when looking for something unique in high-quality. The store also offers its Brand articles. I bought two of my favourite bags here!

Vintage Revivals:

Address: Schützenstrasse 7, 80335 Munich (very Close to the Central Station)

Contemporary, but offers unique vintage clothing & accessories.

This place is full of the vintage treasury. It was the very first Second-Hand shop I utterly fell in love with when I moved to Munich. A very good friend of mine actually discovered it and thought I would love it – she was right! It's a Second-Hand store with a concept of a contemporary store. I think it's great for people who are new to thrifting because they'll get the feeling as if they're in Urban Outfitters, only that it's completely Second-Hand. Accordingly, you can find the best of old-school/vintage pieces over here that are CURRENTLY trending!

Seconda pelle:

Address: Container OG4 at Bahnwärter Thiel

You have got to use Google Maps for this one. It's one of my most recent finds. Super cool "secret" place with Italian vintage fashion from the container. Run by two Italian sisters of whom I met one, she was the most welcoming and helpful seller ever! Will definitely become one of my go-to places.

Bric-à-Brac:

Address: Lindwurmstraße 56-58

Bric-à-Brac might be my favourite Second-Hand /vintage store in Munich. I know, I’ve Said that a couple of times now but  It’s such a unique store, pretty hidden and not many people know about it. It’s actually more of an antique shop with a clothing section AND some random clothing piles in between the antiques. They have Designer & High Street clothing and also really cool antique stuff (dishes, furniture etc.).

"Oxfam" Shop Munich Isarvorstadt & Maxvorstadt:

Address: Türkenstraße 81, 80799 Munich

Address: Fraunhoferstraße 6, 80469 Munich

Oxfam is a charity shop chain. The ones at "Frauenhoferstrasse" and at "Türkenstrasse" are my two favourites. Just because I found my dream Vintage Coat here. Both are located in hipster areas, therefore you are likely to find something really cool here (once in a while). Also, you can find household goods here.

diakonia WertStoff:

Address: Seidlstraße 4, 80335 München

Also, one of my more recent discoveries and it's a charity store as well. It might not look like that at the first glance, but there are some real treasures hidden here. It's also quite affordable (especially when they have a sale). Not only that, but it is very close to the central station.
